The Hope Ware

$75.00

Woog Ware No. 24

Currently on: Consuella Rueday, Month 8 of 29

This month’s addition: The tiny baby. When asked why, Consuella said, “It seemed lonely.” When asked what seemed lonely, she said, “The necklace.”

Objects of delight: HOPE spelled out in wooden letter tiles, a key made of gears, a tiny baby, a pink faceted nugget, a small pink jeweled flower, and a strand of seed beads in jewel tones.

Key Registry: Entered. Locks opened: none. This one’s made of gears, so Buddy thinks it might at least do something. It doesn’t.

The supper-club argument: Dwayne added up the letter tiles. HOPE is worth nine points. He says hope should be worth more, and he has filed a complaint with Stripaticus.

This is the second baby in the collection. The first is a baby head on Ware No. 11. Consuella says the two babies are “not related, and that’s their business.” The tiles were added one letter at a time, over four different months. For a while the Ware just said H-O-P, and Frizzie insisted it was finished.

In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with Consuella, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
