Currently on: Prince Thinkingcourt, Month 8 of 29
This month’s addition: The silver paintbrush. He spent four weeks choosing what to add, then picked the one object that lets you change everything else.
Objects of delight: A rainbow beaded chain with gold filigree beads, a fishing lure, a red-and-black swirled sphere, a silver paintbrush, a crescent moon with a star, a heart inside a black-and-white spiral, a striped rainbow bead, and a crystal in a gold setting.
Key Registry: No key. The Prince has strong feelings about what that means.
The supper-club argument: Fish No. 4. The fish skipped Wares 12, 15 and 18, but Dwayne points out that 21 is still a multiple of three. He calls this “worse.”
The heart sits in the middle of a spiral, and the Prince has stared into it for so long that Puddy now has to tap him on the shoulder to bring him back. He says the moon and star are about ambition. Lurleen says they’re about a moon and a star. The red sphere is swirled with black stripes, which Stripaticus has quietly entered into the Registry of Stripes. Nobody knew there was a Registry of Stripes.
In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with the Prince, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
