Currently on: Eulalie Beaudreaux, Month 8 of 29
This month’s addition: The eyeball. Ware No. 3 has a fish with an eyeball hanging beside it, and Eulalie decided this fish deserved the same.
Objects of delight: A rainbow fishing lure, an eyeball, jeweled cherries, a key, gold coins, ringed beads, and a scatter of vimisphere replicas, strung on three fine strands.
Key Registry: Entered. Locks opened: none.
The supper-club argument: Fish have now turned up on Wares No. 3, No. 6 and No. 9. Dwayne has noticed the pattern and is not okay.
This is the fourth Ware with an eye on it, and Dwayne has officially stopped counting eyes. Eulalie says she added hers partly to make him start again. The jeweled cherries hang at the bottom of the strands, which Eulalie points out is technically “on top” if you’re the fish, and because it’s a broach, it needn’t not show up in a pie. The coins are from all the places she’s been, or so she says. Frizzie has already revised where two of them came from.
In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with Eulalie, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
