The Crescent Moon Ware

$75.00

Woog Ware No. 25

Currently on: Buddy Beaudreaux, Month 8 of 29

This month’s addition: The square grid brooch. It turns out to be exactly the right thickness to slide under the short leg of the wobbly chair. After fourteen months of tools, it took a brooch. The chair no longer wobbles.

Objects of delight: A layered chain with pearls, a cross pendant over an old postcard, a small coin with a cross, a crescent moon with a star, a pink sphere, faceted purple hearts and drops, a key, and a square grid brooch in pink, orange and blue.

Key Registry: Entered. Locks opened: none. Buddy tried it in the chair anyway.

The supper-club argument: Every month Buddy unclips the brooch, slides it under the chair leg for supper, then clips it back on before he goes home. Technically that puts a brooch under the table during dessert. Stripaticus is reviewing whether that breaks the rule.

The cross sits over an old postcard with a stamp still on it. Somebody mailed it somewhere once, and nobody knows where. The pink sphere is the size of a gumball. Puddy has asked. The answer is still no.

In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with Buddy, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
