Currently on: Cluster Neckton, Month 8 of 29
This month’s addition : The tiny pink-and-gold tassel. Cluster says it ties the whole Ware together, and it does, literally.
Objects of delight: A heavy chain loaded with chunky metal hearts in silver, bronze and pewter, a glass heart foiled in silver, black ribbon, a gold key, a pewter rabbit that holds lip balm, and a tiny pink-and-gold tassel.
Key Registry: Entered. Locks opened: none.
The supper-club argument: Nobody will admit to adding the rabbit. Everybody has used the lip balm.
This Ware came out of the box already heavy with hearts, which Lurleen called “a lot of feelings for one neck.” Then the Necks kept adding to it. Adelania said Winston’s Ware had too many hearts. She has since seen this one and has stopped speaking about hearts entirely. It’s the heaviest Ware in the collection and the only one with its own lip balm. Puddy has checked whether the rabbit is edible. It is not.
In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with Cluster, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
