Currently on: Reginald Nilknarf, Month 8 of 29
This month’s addition: The cat face. Reginald says it’s a picture of an ordinary cat he met this month, doing absolutely nothing. He calls it the best afternoon of his year.
Objects of delight: A beaded chain, a jointed fishing lure, a tiny Eiffel Tower, a blue glass heart, a cat face charm, a crowned key, a faded silk ribbon, and a tiny corked bottle of jewels wrapped in copper wire.
Key Registry: Entered. Locks opened: none. This one wears a crown, which Prince Thinkingcourt is still interpreting.
The supper-club argument: Fish No. 6, and this one bends in the middle. Dwayne gave up on the pattern after 23. He says this fish is “just showing off now.”
The Eiffel Tower and the postcard on Ware No. 25 both seem to point to Paris. Cluster has already drawn a string between them. This is the second bottle in the collection after Tannery’s. Tannery has checked this one too. No note, just jewels, which she says is “the second-best thing to find in a bottle.” The cat has two very yellow eyes, which technically makes two more eyes in the collection. Dwayne has asked that this not be discussed.
In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with Reginald, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
