Currently on: Charliegirl Charles, Month 8 of 29
This month’s addition: She added a rock.
Objects of delight: A fishing lure, an eyeball, a key, a little toolkit, a rock, and a polymer clay square that comes off and wears as a brooch. Around them hangs a cluster of black, silver and amber orbs, all strung from black ribbon.
Key Registry: Entered. Locks opened: one, with regret.
The supper-club argument: The eyeball and the fish have hung side by side for months, and nobody can agree which one is watching which. Rumor has it that lure caught the largest Bream in Lake Martin.
Somebody keeps adding fish to the Wares. This is one of them, and nobody has confessed to any of them. Buddy Beaudreaux once borrowed the little toolkit to fix a wobbly chair at supper. The toolkit is roughly the size of a thumbnail. The chair still wobbles, though Buddy maintains it wobbles less. The rock is just a rock, and whoever added it would like that to be enough. The polymer square comes off and wears as a brooch. After the pie incident, the Necks have agreed to keep all removable brooches away from dessert.
In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with Charliegirl, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
