Currently on: Puddintain “Puddy,” Month 8 of 29
This month’s addition: The fishing lure. Yes, she confessed.
Objects of delight: A fishing lure, a pair of turquoise angel wings, a pink heart, metal leaves, a key, a bundle of threaded yarn and braided cord, wooden and gold beads, and garnet-colored drops.
Key Registry: Entered. Locks opened: none.
The supper-club argument: After eight months, someone has finally confessed to a fish. Puddy admits to this one and denies all the others. The Necks are not satisfied but the Fishheads are thrilled.
These wings come as a pair, which Dwayne found deeply satisfying until he remembered the lonely wing on Ware No. 2. He has formally asked whether one could be moved over. Stripaticus is reviewing the request. The yarn holds better than half the clasps in the collection, and nobody will say which month it showed up. The leaves are metal, which Lurleen says makes them leaves that refuse to grow up. The pink heart sits tucked between the wings, and nobody has claimed it. Puddy says that makes it the most suspicious thing on the necklace. She would know.
In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with Puddy, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
