Woog Ware No. 1 Message In A Bottle Ware

Currently on: Tannery Penderton, Month 8 of 29

Objects of delight: A corked bottle of sand holding a note that reads “…and bring chocolate,” a key, a removable artist’s palette brooch (it also wears on its own as a pin), a metal leaf, a tiny seashell, rainbow thread wound through one side of the chain, and a tumble of agate, glass and stone bobbles.

The supper-club argument: Nobody has confessed to the bottle. Ever since it showed up, somebody always brings chocolate to supper. Just in case.

The palette brooch comes off, which has caused problems. It has turned up pinned to three different Woogs, a tablecloth, and once, a pie. The rainbow thread wraps only one side of the chain, which Earl calls “lopsided.” Whoever wound it says that was the point. And the note in the bottle? Readers of Penwondertive may have seen those words before. The Necks haven’t, and they would very much like to know where you did.

In the 29 Necks, necklaces change hands every month at supper. This Ware isn’t married to its Woog. Take it home with Tannery, with a different Woog, or on your own neck.
