No. 10 · Dottie Sipsalittle

Echo: In the old world she was famous for her serious face. She never laughed, especially not at herself.

Now: She chose laughter. Her borrowed blue mouth is open wide, her cheeks spin pink spirals, and her curls have never once stayed put.

Juicy tidbit: The warning painted above her head is meant for the Scribblarians. They get so lost in their art that they keep sipping their paint water by mistake, and Dottie has made it her life's mission to stop them.

Dottie's seam runs straight across her mouth. Her old frown stayed in the old world, and the laugh that replaced it came from somewhere bluer and much louder. Some say a Carnivalian sprinkled her with laughing dust from under an azalea bush the day she arrived, and it simply never wore off. Dottie says she chose it. Either way, she now patrols the studios of Elibom with a fresh cup of tea in each hand, swapping them for murky paint water before anyone takes a sip. She has saved hundreds of artists. Not one has ever thanked her with a straight face.
